Comcast and Smithsonian Networks will launch the Smithsonian Channel for Comcast Digital subscribers in the Washington, D.C. market. New net will roll out to customers throughout 2011 on channel 194.
“Being launched by Comcast is a big step in our plan towards furthering (our) commitment of delivering cultural, historical, scientific and educational programming,” said Smithsonian Networks’ exec veep and g.m.
