CES: Netflix button coming to remote controls

Device will send viewers to streaming service

Now that Netflix’s streaming service is essentially available on every platform, the rental service is getting plastered on remote controls.

Makers of TVs, Blu-ray players and set-top boxes have agreed to add a red Netflix-branded button on new remote controls. Those companies include Best Buy’s Dynex brand, Haier, Memorex, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Toshiba, Boxee, Iomega, and Roku.

When pressed, the button will send viewers to Netflix’s streaming service.
