Zombie deal for Splendid

It has acquired comedy 'Deadheads'

Splendid Films has acquired CMG’s zombie comedy “Deadheads” for German speaking Europe and Dutch speaking Benelux in a pre-Cannes deal.

CMG is leading international sales in Cannes on “Deadheads,” which wrapped up principal photography late last year.

The film stars Michael McKiddy and Ross Kidder, and was written and directed by Brett Pierce and Drew Pierce. It’s produced by the Pierce brothers, Andy Drummond, and Kevin Van Hagen.

“Deadheads” follows two zombie slackers, Mike and Brent, who find themselves reborn from the dead amid a disastrous zombie outbreak. After discovering an engagement ring in his coat pocket, Mike enlists his new found zombie pal, Brent, to embark on a quest in search of his lost love.

CMG will be attending Cannes with psycho-sexual thriller “Liars All,” the action-thrillers “Jacked” and “Blood Out,” the action film “House of the Rising Sun” and the 3D animated feature “Zamb.”
