Fills post vacated by van Lambaart
Roel Vente has been named the head of the Dutch branch of Euro producing org Stage Entertainment.
Vente, formerly of Netherlands-based production company V&V Entertainment, will lead all of the Dutch production activities of Stage, including the musicals division under the banner Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties. He fills the post recently exited by Erwin van Lambaart, who was upped to Chief Content Officer of Stage.
Vente’s tenure at V&V Entertainment has included productions of “Piaf,” “Hairspray” and “Little Shop of Horrors.” The company is the second-largest legit producer in the Netherlands, behind Stage Entertainment.
The Dutch branch of Stage encompasses some 1,000 employees. Recent and upcoming productions for the Netherlands division include “La Cage aux Folles,” “Urinetown” and “Zorro.”
