TLA reaps Cantu’s ‘Harvest’

Distrib takes U.S., U.K. rights at Cannes

TLA Releasing has acquired U.K. and U.S. rights for Benjamin Cantu’s drama “Harvest” (Stadt Land Fluss) at Cannes.

TLA made the announcement Thursday.

“Harvest” won the Siegessaule Audience Award at the Berlin Film Festival in February.

The feature was produced by Bjorn Koll and follows the burgeoning relationship between two young apprentices — played by Lukas Steltner and Kai-Michael Mueller — working on an agricultural complex south of Berlin. Set in the Brandenburg region, it’s the feature debut by Budapest-born filmmaker Cantu.

The deal was negotiated between TLA UK Operations Manager Adam Silver and Salzgeber’s Head of International Sales Daniel Ammann.
