Tuner version of farce to run in West End
The tuner version of the Ken Ludwig farce “Lend Me a Tenor” has finally confirmed its much rumored arrival at the West End’s Gielgud Theater from June 2 with a June 15 press night.
The production of the 2007 tuner by Peter Sham (book and lyrics) with music by Brad Carroll, which received its U.K. bow at the Theater Royal Plymouth last year, is helmed by Ian Talbot and choreographed by Randy Skinner (“42nd Street, “White Christmas”).
The production stars Matthew Kelly, Damian Humbley, Michael Matus and Sophie-Louise Dann. Further casting is to be announced shortly.
“Lend Me a Tenor” replaces “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg,” which is shuttering four months early.
