Tokyo — Pubcaster NHK will extend regular analog broadcasts to July 24, in line with commercial broadcasters, who announced the shut-off date last summer.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications had originally planned to end regular analog broadcasts at the end of June. But the National Assn. of Commercial Broadcasters decided that the early cut-off would confuse viewers and said in July that it will keep broadcasting its regular sked until July 24. NHK has now followed suit.
