Prison drama stars James D'Arcy, Noel Clarke

London-based sales outfit Intandem Films has picked up international sales rights for “Screwed,” based on the bestselling tome by Ronnie Thompson.

Pic, which is helmed by Reg Traviss (“Psychosis,” “Joy Division”) and toplines James D’Arcy (“Master and Commander”) and Noel Clarke (“Kidulthood,” “Adulthood”), is being distributed in Blighty by Lionsgate and is skedded for a June 2011 theatrical release in the territory.

Thompson, a former prison officer, also produces the pic, which follows a gruelling real-life account of life behind bars.

Pic is in post-production and Intandem plans to launch the film at the Cannes market this year.
