Relationship drama plays in Berlin competish

LONDON — International sales powerhouse Fortissimo Films has nabbed worldwide rights to Berlinale competish title “Come Rain, Come Shine.”

The Korean drama, which is helmed by Lee Yoon-ki, centers on a young couple who are on the verge of splitting up. On the day the woman is due to move out, a storm prevents her departure, and the couple are forced to re-evaluate their relationship.

Lim Soo-Jung (“I’m a Cyborg But That’s OK”) plays the wife and Hyun Bin (“Late Autumn”) is the husband.

The pic was produced by Oh Jung-wan of b.o.m. Film Prods.

Fortissimo will handle worldwide rights outside of Korea and Japan.

Lee won the Netpac Award in Berlin and the New Currents Award in Pusan for his 2004 debut “This Charming Girl.” His 2005 followup, “Love Talk,” was in competish at Karlovy Vary. His 2006 pic “Ad Lib Night” and 2008’s “My Dear Enemy” both played in the Forum section at Berlin.
