Dog whisperer develops Spanish series

“Dog Whisperer” Cesar Millan has cut a deal with Spain’s Powwow Media to develop Spanish-lingo programming for the Spanish and Latin American markets.

First project on deck is a reality competition series involving dog training. Project, dubbed “El lider de manada” (The Leader of the Pack), will involve dog enthusiasts going through a series of eliminations in the quest to become the “leader of the pack.” Plan to produce multiple iterations of the series in numerous territories.

“Pack” will mark Millan’s first Spanish-lingo production. The Mexican dog trainer became an international star with the success of “Dog Whisperer,” which airs domestically on Nat Geo Channel.

Powwow is a unit of Madrid-based film-TV company Vertice 360.

Millan and Powwow are repped by WME.
