PARK CITY — IFC Films has snapped up North American rights to David Mackenzie’s romantic thriller “Perfect Sense,” which preemed on Monday at the Eccles Theatre in Sundance.
Pic, which toplines Ewan McGregor and Eva Green, follows the story of an epidemiologist who reemerges from an affair gone sour and encounters a peculiar patient who has lost his sense of smell.
It is produced by Malte Grunert and Gillian Berrie.
Deal, the third acquisition from IFC here in Park City, was negotiated by IFC Films/Sundance Selects senior VP of acquisitions and productions with Liesl Copland at WME Global on behalf of TrustNordisk and the filmmakers.
IFC also picked up rights to Matthew Chapman’s “The Ledge” while it’s sister division, Sundance Selects, nabbed rights to docu “Buck” earlier this week.
