‘Tosh.0’ receives third-season order

Comedy Central wants 29 new episodes

Comedy Central can’t seem to get enough of Daniel Tosh.

Cabler picked up 29 episodes for a third season of “Tosh.0” only four months after picking up 25 episodes for season two — at that time the largest single-season order of a weekly series in the history of the laff net.

Show offers the humor and commentary of Tosh, who skewers the infinite offerings of the Internet. He will star in a stand-up spesh to air in the fourth quarter and will also embark on a national tour this fall.

Season three will launch Jan. 12, in its usual 10:30 p.m. timeslot. The second half of season two begins June 2.

Since launching in June 2009, “Tosh.0” has risen 85% in the 18-34 male demo.

Tosh and Charlie Siskel are exec producers.
