'What Chilli Wants' bows on VH1 on April 11
VH1’s move back into the dating space continues next month with the launch of “What Chilli Wants.”
The reality skein, starring Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas — one-third of 1990s supergroup TLC — bows Sunday, April 11, at 10:30 p.m. on VH1.
Show, which received an eight-episode order last year, centers on Chilli as she enlists the help of relationships expert Tionna Smalls to find love.
Smalls, in turn, brings Chilli’s celeb pals — including TLC partner Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Missy Elliot — on board for insight into “What Chilli Wants.”
According to VH1, Chilli’s “checklist” for a man includes “eight-pack abs, a gorgeous face, funny, loves kids, is religious, can’t smoke, can’t drink, can’t eat pork.”
VH1 plans to air a sneak of the premiere episode on its website beginning March 29.
FremantleMedia North America produces the show. Larry Barron, Kevin Williams, Bill Diggins and Chilli exec produce with VH1’s Jim Ackerman, Dave Hamilton and Jeff Olde.
Chilli also starred in the UPN reality competish “R U the Girl with T-Boz and Chilli.”
VH1 hasn’t shied away from the celebrity-meets-dating genre; last week it tapped NFL star Chad Ochocinco to star in “The Tournament,” in which women compete to go out with the Cincinnati Bengals player.
