‘The Glades’ finishes season with 2.7 million viewers

A&E drama “The Glades” ended its first season Sunday night with 2.7 million viewers, slightly below its 3.1 million average for the season.Glades

Skein, from Fox Television Studios, stars Matt Passmore as a Chicago detective who moves to Florida. Network has already greenlit a 13-episode second season that is set to debut sometime next year. Clifton Campbell and Gary Randall exec produce.

After failing to connect with “The Beast” and “The Cleaner,” A&E — already a reality powerhouse with such shows as “Intervention,” “Hoarders” and “Dog the Bounty Hunter” — is looking to kickstart its scripted slate. Up next is drama “Breakout Kings,” scheduled for a 2011 premiere.
