So much for the summer burnoff

ABC’s “Happy Town” now joins Fox’s “Past Life” among shows so little-seen that even their summer burn-offs have now been canceled.

Alphabet has been airing its last remaining segs of “Happy Town” on Wednesdays at 10 p.m.; now, instead, it will air repeats of series including “Castle” in the slot. “Happy Town’s” remaining segs will pop up on a Saturday in July, where burnoff segs of series such as “Eastwick” are also set to reappear.

As for ABC’s last remaining two episodes of “Better off Ted” — which would have ran Thursday night, had there not been an NBA Finals Game 7 — a network insider said it’s “always possible” they might still appear on the sked, but “not probable.”
