Shatner’s ‘Weird’ series

Series set for primetime on Discovery

Boldly going where many stars have gone before, William Shatner traveled to Cannes to unveil his reality show, “Weird or What.”

Produced by Cineflix Programming and hosted by Shatner, the series will be skedded in primetime on Discovery in the U.S. and the History Channel in Canada.

It will examine some of the weirdest unsolved cases around the world — ranging from paranormal phenomena, to medical oddities and bizarre natural disasters.

“We’re looking at weird circumstances but we’re presenting them in a light-hearted, jaunty way,” Shatner said. “We’re not taking ourselves too seriously.”

The show is exec produced by Shatner, Cineflix CEO Simon Lloyd and Rod Parker.

“We’ve received multiple offers from nearly every territories,” Lloyd said. “It’s Mip at its best.”
