Wendy Williams appears to be settling in for the long haul.
The daytime syndie yakker “The Wendy Williams Show,” distribbed by Debmar-Mercury, has been renewed for a second season by stations covering 80% of U.S. TV households. The show has also been renewed through the 2011-12 season by Fox O&Os in top markets, which is a pretty good indicator that the show will stick around for at least two more seasons.
“Wendy Williams,” which offers a blend of lifestyle segments, celeb guests and gossip, has drawn credible ratings for a frosh strip. For the season to date, hourlong show is averaging a 0.9 rating with women 18-34 and women 18-49.
