Samuel L. Jackson’s mothereffing CW project

Exclu:Samuel-l-jackson Samuel L. Mother-Effing Jackson is developing a mother-effing detective drama at the C-mother-effing-W.

“Hawkshaw” comes from scribe and exec producer David Loughery, who wrote the 2008 Jackson feature “Lakeview Terrace.”  Jackson is exec producing through its UppiTV shingle, which has a first-look deal at CBS TV Studios. UppiTV development topper Amanda Tracey is also an EP.

“Hawkshaw” centers on a mysterious man in his 20s who doesn’t know his real identity — but believes that he’s either a descendent of Sherlock Holmes or is actually the literary sleuth. Hawkshaw’s psychiatrist thinks he suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder — but her sister, a young cop, soon discovers Hawkshaw’s British charm and powers of deduction can help her solve crimes. Both sisters soon find themselves drawn to him (and perhaps battling for his affection).

Jackson, who’s been looking to get into the TV game in recent years, exec produced Spike TV’s animated “Afro Samurai.” Loughery’s feature credits also include “Obsessed.”
