Poundstone tapped for ADG kudos

Feb. 5 event to honor production designers

Back by popular demand, comedian Paula Poundstone will be reprising her position as host for this year’s Art Directors Guild’s Excellence in Production Design Awards.

The ceremony, in its 15th year, will be held Feb. 5 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. ADG kudos will be awarded in nine categories, and Alexander Golitizen (“Touch of Evil”), Albert Heschong (“Gunsmoke”) and Eugene Lourie (“The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms”) will be inducted in the ADG Hall of Fame.

Poundstone is perhaps best known as a panelist on NPR’s “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me.” She won a Peabody in 2008 for outstanding achievement in broadcasting, and has also been featured on Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion.”
