The number of consecutive timeslot wins by Fox’s “American Idol” — until Feb. 17, when NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics (and a record-setting night for Team USA) easily topped it in the ratings. Head-to-head, the Olympics beat “Idol” by 29% in adults 18-49 rating (9.0 to 7.0) and by 58% in total viewers (29.4 million to 18.6 million).
