Nickelodeon has promoted Frank Tanki to senior VP of partnership marketing and operations. In the newly created position, he will be responsible for the development of Nickelodeon’s corporate marketing partnerships, as well as the operations for its marketing department. Tanki previously served as of veep of partnership marketing.
Heather Olander has been named veep of programming and development for CBS Television Distribution. Olander will develop new syndie series and oversee existing first-run strips. She comes to the Eye from MTV, where she was VP of original series development and current programming.
San Diego-based online video provider VMIX has tapped Patrick Burns as prexy and CEO. Burns was most recently interim CEO at Arex Life Sciences.
EMI Music has named Bertrand Bodson as senior veep of global digital marketing. Bodson, a co-founder of the social networking site Bragster.com, will spearhead global digital marketing efforts for the music conglom. He previously held senior posts at Amazon.com.
Marissa Ronca has been upped to VP of development at Turner Broadcasting’s TruTV. Ronca, who joined TruTV in 2007, had been senior director of development for the cabler.
Science Channel has named Dexter Cole veepee of programming and Bernadette McDaid as VP of production. Cole was previously VP of research for cabler TV One has its VP. McDaid most recently was an executive producer at Darlow Smithson Prods.
Kevin Ota has joined ESPN as director of digital communications. Ota will be responsible for media relations relating to ESPN’s digital products that includes ESPN.com and ESPN3.com. Most recently, Ota led the Dell Consumer and Nike Corporate account teams at GCI Group in Gotham.
Praisery Krupp Kommunications has hired Joann Mignano as an account manager. She most recently served as a veep of entertainment and lifestyle at FYI Public Relations.
