Litton grew kids outlet into 6 channels, website

LONDON — Nickelodeon U.K. topper Howard Litton is quitting after 15 years at the tyke web to “pursue personal projects and new opportunities in international media.” Litton, senior VP-managing director, has been pivotal to Nick’s expansion in the U.K.

During his tenure, Nickelodeon Networks U.K. won 15 BAFTAs, including the 2009 children’s channel of the year for Nick Junior.

Steve Grieder, exec VP, Nickelodeon Intl. and program sales for MTV Networks Intl., will oversee the web until a new managing director is appointed.
