NBC has locked up its summer hit “America’s Got Talent” for a sixth season, to air next summer.
Talent showcase has been one of summer’s primetime standouts, averaging 11.8 million viewers and a 3.4 rating/10 share in adults 18-49 in its Tuesday and Wednesday airings on the Peacock.
The FremantleMedia North America skein may get a further boost next year after judge Piers Morgan makes his debut on CNN. He’s set to move into the “Larry King Live” slot by year’s end.
“America’s Got Talent” wraps its fifth season on Sept. 14-15.
