Voice

NBC's "The Voice of America," based on the Dutch format "The Voice of Holland," is now going by the shortened title "The Voice."

"The Voice" is still just a working title and could very well change. But decision to shorten the name was likely to avoid any confusion (or copyright infringement) with the real-life Voice of America, which continues to broadcast programming around the globe.

NBC's The Voice website is up, touting auditions that had already been scheduled — under the vague "Untitled Mark Burnett Singing Competition" name. Here's where the show will be looking for a few good voices:
