NATAS exec Anthony Rogers dies

'Tony' Rogers headed San Diego chapter

Anthony “Tony” Rogers, president of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, San Diego chapter, died May 20 in Palm Desert, Calif. He was 75.

Rogers was a leader in San Diego television advertising for over 20 years, working at KFMB, KNSD and XETV. He was president of the San Diego Advertising and Sales Club and taught telecommunications and film at San Diego State U. and Mesa College before retiring in 2000.

He is survived by three sons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
