More ‘Daily Show,’ ‘Colbert Report’ on the way

Comedy Central has reupped deals with its comedy powerhouses: Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.Jon_stewart

Colbert’s deal extends through the end of 2012 while Stewart will go on skewering politicians and the like until mid-2013.

The new pacts means the pair — hosts of “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” and “The Colbert Report” — will be around to verbally abuse the two candidates for president during the next election. Ratings for both shows go up significantly during the presidential election years.
