We were chatting in the office about USA’s decision to rename “Facing Kate” with the fairly generic title of “Fairly Legal.” Far be it from us to question one of the most successful cable networks around, but it just seemed a little humdrum.
Now that’s a title!
“Lizard Lick Towing” is a spinoff to TruTV original series “All Worked Up,” which the network also announced is getting a 13-episode third season. “All Worked Up” follows regular working folk in punishing jobs; “Lizard Lick Towing” focuses on the towing and repo team fronted by Ron and Amy Shirley, who emerged as cult heroes on the first season of “Worked.”
Both are scheduled to begin airing new episodes early next year.
“All Worked Up” has averaged 1.6 million viewers, about half of them in the 18-49 demo, and peaked with 2.4 million overall in its season finale. It was a top-five cable show in its time period. Exec producers Natalka Znak and Lauren Gellert will fill the same role for “Lizard Lick.”
