Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, creators of “The Office” and “Extras,” are collaborating on new laffer “Life’s Too Short” featuring Warwick Davis, the 3ft 6in thesp familiar to film fans from “Star Wars” and “Harry Potter.”
The 30-minute, single camera pilot is “an observation comedy which follows Warwick’s day-to-day life in a small world where big things happen,” per the BBC, which has greenlit the project.
Gervais and Merchant will appear in minor roles.
“We’re having so much fun working with Warwick,” Gervais said. “Pound for pound he is one of the funniest men I know.”
Show was commissioned by BBC2 controller Janice Hadlow and the controller of BBC comedy commissioning Cheryl Taylor.
