MTV2 has been known for its racy programming at times, but the cabler is running a different pattern by going long with games of the Lingerie Football League.
“LFL Presents: Friday Night Football on MTV2″ premieres Sept. 3 at 8 p.m. Pacific/11 p.m. Eastern. MTV2 will show 20 halfhour shows, which include highlights from LFL games, sideline interviews and … wait for it … locker-room access.
The LFL grew out of the Lingerie Bowl that has aired as counter-programming during halftime of the Super Bowl since 2004. The league was formed a year ago, with 10 teams playing 7-on-7.(The Los Angeles Temptation currently sit in a three-way tie for the Western Conference lead with a 3-1 record, while the New York Majesty are in the Eastern Conference cellar, 0-3 and outscored on average 43-9.)
