Talk show veteran, execs do Spago after show
After live interviews with Ryan Seacrest and Bill Maher on Thursday, Larry King brought to an end his 25-year run at CNN. From the network’s studio in Hollywood, he limoed over to Spago Beverly Hills to be feted by Turner’s Philip Kent, CNN’s Jim Walton and longtime “Larry King Live” producer Wendy Walker.
King, gushed over by stars ranging from Jane Fonda to Suzanne Somers at the party, took the philosophical route when it came to how he felt, having just gone out on the high note of securing over 2 million viewers that night.
“To quote Peggy Lee, ‘Is that all there is?’ ” he asked.
