The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences offered up congratulatory certificates to the Emmy nominees at Friday’s reception at the Pacific Design Center. Glenn Close, Seth Green and Gregory Itzin huddled on stage to accept kudos before singing “Happy Birthday” to fellow nominee Aaron Paul. Instead of a cake, however, everyone munched on Duncan Hines gourmet cupcakes.
Green received another big treat. “I got to meet Glenn Close. I’m so excited!” he gushed.
Bryan Cranston, up for his sixth nom (and abstaining from sugar), offered up some advice: “If you don’t feel a sense of entitlement for this, then I think it’s fantastic. Because then win or lose, you go, ‘Ah, we had a good time.'”
