Meanwhile, NBC's 'Talent' is night's highest-rated show

Though NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” was Wednesday’s top-rated primetime show among viewers’ 18-49, Fox won the night on the strength of its two-hour “So You Think You Can Dance.”

“Talent” (3.0 rating/9 share in 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall) waltzed over “Dance” (2.6/9, 6.5 million) in the 9 p.m. hour, but the Fox competition show had an even bigger advantage at 8 p.m. over a “Talent” rerun (1.6/6, 6.7 million).

CBS finished third in both the demo and overall viewers with a 90- minute special, “TV’s Greatest Surprises” (1.4/5, 6.6 million) and repeats of “Rules of Engagement” (1.3/4, 4.4 million) and “Criminal Minds” (1.6/5, 6.3 million).

ABC aired four sitcom reruns, led by “Modern Family” (1.4/4, 4.4 million), then wrapped up its night with “Happy Town” (0.6/2, 2.2 million). The CW rebroadcast two editions of “America’s Next Top Model,” each drawing a 0.5/2 and about 1.3 million viewers.

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: Fox 2.6/9, NBC 2.1/7, CBS 1.5/5, Univision 1.5/5, ABC 0.9/3, CW 0.5/2.

In total viewers: NBC 8.1 million, Fox 6.5 million, CBS 6.1 million, Univision 3.8 million, ABC 3.3 million, CW 1.3 million.
