John Shaffner appoints industry vets

John Shaffner, chairman and CEO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, has appointed four industry vets to the TV Acad’s exec committee.

The foursome join 15 other members of the committee that works with ATAS’ board of governors in setting the direction and agenda for the org.

The new members are: writer-producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason; Albert Cheng, exec veep of digital media for Disney/ABC TV Group; writer-director Millicent Shelton; and thesp Benito Martinez.
