Charlie Haykel and Juliane Hare have been tapped as producers for the
upcoming Emmy Awards.
Haykel will return to the Emmys after producing
last year’s kudocast. He has a longstanding relationship with exec
producer Don Mischer, who announced the appointments. The two worked
together on such specials as “We Are One: The Obama Inaugural
Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial” and two Super Bowl halftime shows.
will be Hare’s sixth Emmy show — though not always as a producer —
and she has teamed with Mischer on a handful of Olympics-related
Danette Herman, who was named coordinating producer,
is a longtime Emmy collaborator. This year will mark her 22nd show.
Herman has worked on the Oscar broadcast for 34 years.

The Emmy Awards will be
broadcast live Aug. 29 by NBC from the Nokia Theater in downtown Los
Angeles. Normally, the show takes place in September, but the Peacock’s
Sunday schedule is filled that month with NFL broadcasts.
