Dueling messages from Cablevision and Fox (plus live video of the midnight yank)

As expected, the Cablevision vs. News Corp. battle in New York and New Jersey, which had already gotten ugly, has now led to those channels’ blackout. Read Cynthia Littleton’s dispatch here for the full report.

At midnight ET, Fox pulled the feed to Cablevision. Viewers now see this message above, on a loop, spelling out the cable company’s side of the story.

Fox, meanwhile, is telling Cablevision customers to find another provider — such as DirecTV or Verizon FiOS (but, ahem, not Dish — which is also locked in a battle with News Corp.) Watch their video below.
