‘Diva’ delivers for Lifetime

In adults 25-54, “Diva” was up 10%, and in total viewers the season two preem drew 3.1 million, slightly better than the 2.8 million from July 12, 2009. In women 18-49, “Diva” saw a 6% uptick in the episode that featured former “American Idol” judge Paula Abdul.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, “Diva” stars Brooke Elliott as a wafer-thin model who is killed in a car accident and is reincarnated as a plus-size attorney. Josh Berman, Craig Zadan, Neil Meron and Alex Taub exec produce.

Also of note in cable was a strong performance by Nickelodeon’s live-action Friday series, led by “iCarly,” whose hourlong movie “iPsycho” drew 7.5 million viewers. That led into record numbers for new episodes of “Victorious” (6 million) and “Big Time Rush” (4.7 million).
