That list is the gist of today’s announcement from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Voters were sent a preliminary ballot with all possible nominees on it in six acting categories. Voters then selected as many as they wanted — no limit — for Emmy consideration.
Those who received the most votes of approval in this selection round advance to the final at-home screening round, which will begin next month and determine both nominees and then winners. As of today, there are still an average of about 15 thesps (including Bobbie Eakes, pictured, of “All My Children”) contending in each category.
