LONDON — Seasoned U.K. media topper David Elstein has quit as chairman of DCD Media, owners of U.K. shingles September Films, Prospect Pictures, and Done and Dusted.
In a statement to the London Stock Exchange, DCD said Elstein had stepped down with immediate effect in order “to pursue other interests.”
The former Channel 5 CEO, and BSkyB and Thames senior executive joined DCD in 2005.
DCD said it would begin the process of recruiting a new chairman immediately.
DCD CEO David Green said: “I would like to thank David Elstein on behalf of the board for more than five years of counsel, during which he has helped to steer the group from its roots as an online arts content distributor into a leading international producer and distributor of entertainment programming in the U.K. and U.S.”
