Insiders are confirming that NBC has given "Chuck" a renewal, while ABC has also given a second season order to "V."

Both moves were expected. In a rebuilding year for NBC, "Chuck" offers a steady performer and rabid fan base. Peacock has enough holes elsewhere that it doesn't need to phuck with Chuck. (What? What?) Meanwhile, the future is still hazy for "Heroes," with a nontraditional order still a possibility for that show. (TV movie, perhaps?)

Over at ABC, "V" was likely a no-brainer, as ABC wants to bring back at least one frosh drama, and the alien thriller is showing signs of life. Its fellow frosh sci-fi drama, "FlashForward," is not.

Pickups likely had 'em cheering in the halls at Warner Bros. TV, which produces both bubble shows. (Both are likely 13-episode orders, given their bubble state.)

Meanwhile, here's what "V" showrunner Scott Rosenbaum wrote to fans this evening on Twitter:

I think I most love the fact that, besides being fair and following both Variety and THR, Rosenbaum follows the Dim Sum truck and food critic extraordinaire Jonathan Gold's feed. Foodie in the lizard house!
