Network to air second-annual Night Out in September

CBS is dressing up for Fashion’s Night Out.

Eye will air a one-hour special Sept. 15 that covers the fashion industry’s second-annual event, which will have taken place five days prior. Telecast will include preparations made for Fashion’s Night Out, an initiative that began last year as an incentive for consumers to purchase clothing and accessories during tough economic times.

Event takes place in several cities around the world, including Gotham, where celebrities mix with buyers to promote all things fashion.

“The message is clear: Responsible spending can breathe new life into the economy, and that means job,” said exec producer Susan Zirinsky. Fashion’s Night Out is a self-styled stimulus package by the fashion industry that has ignited a global movement.”

CBS has done business with the fashion industry in the past as it aired the most recent “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” in December.
