Season premiere up 10% from last year
“Burn Notice” remained on fire for USA Network Thursday night as 6.6 million tuned in to the fourth-season premiere.
Jeffrey Donovan starrer drew 10% more than its season premiere last summer and remains cable’s most-watched show. In the 18-49 demo, “Burn” scored 2.5 million viewers, a slight bump from a year ago.
In beginning its second season, net’s “Royal Pains” followed “Burn Notice” at 10 p.m. and drew 5.8 million total viewers Thursday, a 5% uptick.
USA is preparing to launch its newest drama, “Covert Affairs,” at 10 p.m. July 13, following the preem of the second season of “White Collar.”
July 13, incidentally, is the night of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game, which will be played at Anaheim Stadium and aired on Fox. The game is generally a big draw for broadcast, going up against a lineup of repeats and reality shows.
