‘Breaking Bad’ breaks good in season three with best-ever ratings

AaronPaul301.jpg Sunday’s season premiere of “Breaking Bad” on AMC delivered the series’ top ratings ever, notching a 40% increase compared with season two, according to fast nationals from Nielsen.

Approximately 2 million tuned in for the third-season launch, with the cumulative total for all three airings of the episode reaching 3.3 million.

Admittedly starting from a small baseline, “Breaking Bad” also showed demo gains, most notably among women 18-49, which doubled compared with season two from 250,000 viewers to 482,000.

The season premiere’s 1.4 household rating was about 17% higher than its season-two peak.
