Audiences embrace ‘Big Love’

HBO premiere nets more than 1.7 million viewers

Season four of HBO’s “Big Love” got off to a strong start Sunday.

More than 1.7 million viewers tuned in to see how the Henrickson clan would deal with the death of the Juniper Creek prophet in addition to venturing into the casino gaming business. Total viewers represented a 49% increase (1.1 million) from the premiere of season three.

Cabler also announced new half-hour comedy “How to Make It in America” will launch Feb. 14 at 10 p.m. Skein, which stars Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk, spotlights two Brooklyn twentysomethings trying to start a career in the fashion industry.

Series is exec produced by Stephen Levinson, Rob Weiss, Ian Edelman, Julian Farino, Jada Miranda and Mark Wahlberg.
