ABC made the folks behind new series “No Ordinary Family,” “Better With You” and “Detroit 1-8-7” very happy on Monday. Not so happy: The cast and crew of Wednesday night’s “The Whole Truth,” which was told that a full season order wasn’t in the cards.
“ABC gave us the word. We will only make 13 episodes of #thewholetruth,” co-exec producer KristieAnne Reed wrote via Twitter on Monday night.
The Jerry Bruckheimer TV-based producer also noted that shooting would continue on the show into December, and that Mandy Patinkin will be seen as a guest in episode 13.
“The Whole Truth,” starring Maura Tierney and Rob Murrow, looks at a case equally from the side of the prosecutor and the defendant.
Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Warner Bros. Television are behind the show, which is exec produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ed Zuckerman. Tom Donaghy and Reed are co-executive producers.
