Int’l Emmys honor Simon Cowell

'Idol' host to receive founders award

Simon Cowell is set to receive the 2010 Int’l Emmy founders award at the 38th annual Int’l Emmy awards in Gotham on Nov. 22.

Cowell, producer of the “Idol,” “Got Talent” and “X Factor” TV franchises, is also an A&R exec for Sony Records, and has his own label.

“Simon Cowell is an entrepreneur and performer in equal measure.,” said Int’l Academy prexy and CEO Bruce L. Paisner.
