Talent agent Selma Rubin who managed Yasmin Bleeth and Theresa Saldana among others, died Friday of cancer in New York City. She was 87.
Rubin, a successful talent manager for more than 40 years, discovered and managed the careers of thesps including Bleeth (“Baywatch”), Saldana (“The Commish”), June Angela (“Shogun: The Musical,” “The King and I”), Irene Cara (“Fame,” “Flashdance”), Ralph Carter (“Good Times,” “Raisin”), Ernestine Jackson (“Raisin,” “Guys and Dolls”), Donny Most (“Happy Days”) and Gene Anthony Ray (“Fame”).
She was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
Survivors include a daughter and two grandchildren.
Donations may be made to Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
