MTV has upped Andrew Portnoy to senior veep of production, East Coast. Kimberly Rach has signed on as senior VP of production, West Coast. Portnoy was previously veep of MTV series production. Rach joins the cabler from Walden Media, where she was VP of physical production.
Anchor Bay Entertainment has promoted Kevin Kasha to exec VP of worldwide acquisitions. Kasha, who joined the company in 2008 from New Line Home Entertainment, has spearheaded the launch of Anchor Bay Films.
Matt Bretz has been promoted to executive creative director at Ant Farm. Bretz joined the company in 2005 and most recently served as creative director.
Rita Ferro has been upped to exec veep of Disney Media Sales and Marketing, overseeing all advertising sales and marketing across the Mouse’s kid- and family-oriented platforms. Ferro, who has been with Disney since 1997, will relocate to New York from Miami, where she served as veep of advertising sales for Disney Mediaplus since 2008.
Yaoshiang Ho has joined YouTube as strategic partner development manager. He will be responsible for managing relationships with Hollywood’s majors and news organizations. Ho joins YouTube from MGM, where he was director of worldwide digital media.
Travel Channel has named Fred Graver senior veep of programming. He’ll be responsible for the overall content strategy for the cabler and oversight of programming and production. Graver was previously exec veep of programming at VH1 and also worked as a senior editor for National Lampoon.
Susan Wrenn has been tapped as Catch 22 Entertainment’s head of marketing. Prior to joining the company, Wrenn was senior VP of marketing and media for Paramount.
