Sony adds Ashbourne to TV team

Exec to nurture new international shows

LONDON — Sony Pictures Television has tapped U.K. entertainment specialist Victoria Ashbourne to help build its international presence.

As senior vice president, creative development, international production, Ashbourne is charged with nurturing new shows across all of SPT’s international companies.

Additionally her responsibilities will include re-developing the outfit’s back catalog and helping to spearhead production in the U.K.

“SPT’s light entertainment slate is fast emerging as the freshest in the international format business and Victoria will help us build on that success,” said SPT’s chief creative officer, Mike Morley, who Ashbourne will report to.

She was previously at U.K. shingle CPL (formerly Celador Productions) where she re-formatted “Mr & Mrs.”

Ashbourne recently co-executive produced a U.S. pilot of “All Star Mr and Mrs” for Embassy Row and was also responsible for U.K. daytime skein “The Paul O’Grady Show.”
