MTV adds two series development execs

Fitzgerald, Nash have reality focus

MTV has beefed up its series development ranks with two veeps, appointing Shannon Fitzgerald for the East Coast and Colin Nash for the West.

Fitzgerald’s focus will be to expand MTV’s reality programming slate in primetime and across weekday afternoons. Fitzgerald exec produced the pilot of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Her previous MTV experience includes “Joe and Lucy,” “Ashlee Simpson Show,” “Miss 17,” “The Nick Lachey Show” and “Sorority Life.”

Nash is the former co-exec producer of MTV’s “The Hills” and “The City” and has producer credits with ABC, VH1, TLC, the WB and the CW, where he was exec producer of this summer’s “Fly Girls.”
