Headline News anchor moves to Peacock cabler

CNN Headline newser Richard Lui has switched to the competition: Lui starts Aug. 30 at MSNBC.

The journo, who anchored the 10 a.m. hour of HLN’s “Morning Express,” has covered conflicts including the 2008-09 Gaza-Israel war and the Mumbai train bombings.

“I’ve been watching Richard for years, and he’s a strong reporter and a passionate storyteller,” MSNBC president Phil Griffin said.

Lui has worked for CNN since 2005. Earlier, he worked for Channel NewsAsia, an English-language net based in Singapore and owned by state-run media conglom MediaCorp.
